Michael Gaillard founded his eponymous studio in Nantucket in 2014, marking the beginning of a significant phase in his artistic journey. Over the following six years, Michael Gaillard Studio became a vibrant hub for his creative explorations, hosting annual exhibitions that showcased his evolving perspectives and mastery in fine-art photography. These shows not only highlighted his deepening engagement with the landscapes of Nantucket but also attracted a devoted following and significantly expanded his collector base. Throughout this period, the studio was not just a space for display but also a place of dynamic artistic development and community interaction.
During its operation from 2014 to 2020, Michael Gaillard Studio featured works from Gaillard’s diverse fine-art photography practice, focusing extensively on the Nantucket landscape. Each season brought new pieces, as works from previous years often sold out of their editions. The gallery also housed a comprehensive portfolio viewing area where visitors could explore both new works and classic images nearing the end of their edition runs.
For those of you who remember this space and any pieces or conversations you had that stick with you, we'd love to hear from you and learn about your experiences.
